Rev. He Jiemiao, president and chairman of Suzhou CC&TSPM in Jiangsu, welcomed the Outreach Foundation of the Presbyterian Church in the USA.
During their visit from July 25 to 26, both parties renewed their friendship and participated in exchanges and discussions concerning church ministry in the post-pandemic era, according to Suzhou CC&TSPM.
Rev. Dr. Mark Mueller, executive director of the foundation, introduced the other members of the delegation and expressed their concern for churches in Suzhou and other regions of Jiangsu. Furthermore, he reaffirmed their support and acknowledgment of the principles of independence—self-preaching, self-governing, and self-supporting—amongst Chinese churches.
The delegation paid visits to Xiangcheng Church, Dushu Lake Church, and Kunshan Church, all located in Suzhou.
Additionally, they had the opportunity to explore Hanshan Temple and Zhouzhuang Water Town, where they engaged in dialogue and exchanged ideas with representatives from other religious groups.

美国长老会外展基金会执行主席马克牧师介绍了此次代表团的其他成员,表达了外展基金会对江苏教会和苏州教会的关心,并重申了对中国教会独立自主自办教会原则及“三自” 原则的支持和认同。
代表团一行实地先后参观了苏州相城教堂、独墅湖教堂和昆山教堂。
在苏州访问期间,代表团还访问参观了苏州寒山寺、游览了周庄古镇,并与其他宗教开展了对话和交流。
