Nanjing Union Theological Seminary hosted a ceremony and service on June 20 for 166 students who graduated, comprising 128 undergraduates, out of whom 106 majored in theology, along with 38 graduate students, out of whom 36 studied theology. This year's graduation recorded the highest number of graduates in the history of the school, according to CCC&TSPM.
Rev. Shan Weixiang, vice president and general secretary of CCC&TSPM, delivered a sermon titled "Breakthrough Is a Mandatory Course for Growth". He suggested that the graduates step out of their comfort zone in the new environment they will be venturing into, and challenge themselves through serving.
East China Theological Seminary reported that 26 undergraduates received bachelor's degrees in theology, while 38 were awarded degrees in sacred music. During the graduation service on June 21, Rev. Zhang Aili, secretary-general of Shanghai CC&TSPM, delivered a sermon entitled "To be Fishers of Men".
Fujian Theological Seminary organized a ceremony on the same day for 152 graduates in the chapel. Rev. Yue Qinghua, who serves in the capacity of chairman of the Fujian TSPM and president of the seminary, encouraged graduates to become shepherds who are qualified as good readers, authors, and scholars in order to promote the spiritual growth and the inheritance of congregations.
