To mark Mother’s Day, a church in Fujian Province hosted a Sunday service, while another church in Zhejiang Province carried out activities for the elderly in a nursing home.
On May 14, Mother’s Day, Shan’ge Church in Pinghe County, Zhangzhou, Fujian, held a baptism and communion service. Rev. Zhuang Guomin from Pinghe, vice chairman and secretary general of Zhangzhou TSPM, preached a sermon titled “Mother’s Love ” in Southern Fujian Dialect in the morning and “Highly Favored Mother” in Mandarin in the afternoon.
Rev. Zhuang baptized 22 seekers (including 16 mothers) who had recently joined the church.
On May 12, ahead of Mother’s Day, the Love Volunteer Group of Puyang Church in Pujiang County, Zhejiang, visited Daxu Old People’s Home to provide service for more than 200 elderly people, according to Puyang Church. The group consisted of twelve believers who offered haircuts, shaves, blood pressure checks, and hymn singing.
Additionally, an event themed “Traditional Culture of Filial Piety and Righteousness Enters the Church” and the lectures on the sinicization of Christianity were held in Zhengzhai Church in Pujiang County, Pujiang, Zhejiang on May 11, according to Pujiang CC&TSPM.
