A church in China's southeastern-coastal Zhejiang Province has resumed in-person gatherings, requiring worshippers to show negative nucleic acid tests conducted within 48 hours.
On its official WeChat account on May 16, Hangzhou Sicheng Church issued a notice, stating it would reopen from that day on while limiting the crowding of attendees who need to book their places in advance. Sunday services will be held online and in-person at the same time.
Due to the epidemic containment requirements, the church with limited seats advises young believers to give up their seats to the elderly for the first and second church services in the morning. The church said that those who have a "card for the elderly" issued by itself during the epidemic period can continue to use it these days. For other believers without such cards, they should try to attend services in the afternoon or evening by appointment.
The church also reminded churchgoers to hold the proof of a negative COVID-19 nucleic acid test conducted within the previous 48 hours. For the elderly believers who don't have smartphones, they should bring identification cards after completing nucleic acid tests, the results of which the church staff can check.
The church declared that the entry to reserve a place will be released on Saturday on its WeChat account.
