A village church in Fujian and an urban Guangdong church both held Christmas celebrations on Sunday, December 19.
Xiazhai Church in Pinghe County, Fujian, celebrated Christmas for the second time in its new church, which was completed two years ago, with 300 believers in attendance.
Rev. Lin Yunshan, chairman of Pinghe County Christian Council, gave a sermon with the title "The Meaning of Jesus' Birth".
Then, after the hymns New Born King from the choir of Xiazhai Church, Stars of Ice, Wheel of Moonlight Bright, and The First Noel, the Angel Did Say from Xiaoxi Church in Pinghe County, other programs were presented, including a melodic solo, a semichorus, a solo, a family chorus, a quartet, and a program played in an allegro tempo.
In Guangxiao Church, Guangzhou, Guangdong, three celebrations were conducted to mark the birth of Jesus, according to the church.
This year, the church was decorated with the color blue (the color of the starry sky), guiding the lost to find "Star of David" - Jesus to get peace, to preach the gospel, and to share the love of the Lord.
