The first phase of sacred music training in Xiamen was launched starting from April 19, according to the plan of the Sacred Music Committee of Xiamen Municipal CC&TSPM.

Conducted in the New District Gospel Church, Xiaxi Gospel Church and Ren'ai Meeting Point of Trinity church, the course includes basic music theory, vocal music, pipe organ, and conducting, with ten lessons in each subject. The course was taught by experienced teachers gifted in music teaching, with more than 100 people from 15 sites in or out of the city signed up.

Citing Psalm 133:1, Pastor Li Lihui, chairman of Xiamen CC&TSPM (Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement), gave a speech in the opening ceremony to encourage the students to cherish the rare opportunity to learn together. She said although they came from different churches, they could build up beautiful relationships in the kingdom of God, enjoying the beauty of the family in Christ.
