Dengfeng Nanzhan Church in China’s northeastern Jilin Province gave aid to poor students and families amidst the opening of the school year.

On September 1, the church in Liaoyuan said that it gave 7,800 yuan to five students and three families. This is the third year that it has given this type of aid.

The award was 800 yuan for primary school pupils, 1,000 for high school students, 2,000 for university students and subsidies of 500 to 1,000 yuan for families.

Wearing facial masks and keeping distance, the team gave greetings and encouragement to the students and their families.

During his second year in a graduate program, Li dropped out of school to care for his severely sick parents. They live in Chaoyang Village, Daxing Town.

Although the fund cannot solve their living problems, it brought love and hope.
