This past Saturday, a megachurch in Zhangzhou, Fujian joined the national mourning for those who died in the coronavirus outbreak.
Rev. Huang Lihong, senior pastor of Beimen led the staff in paying tribute to deceased government officers, medical personnel and civilians at the church square. On Qingming or the Tomb Sweeping Day, national flags were lowered to half-staff.
Later the staff prayed for peace in China and the rest of the world, and for people's health as well as revival in the church.
Started in 2004, Beimen Church, the largest in Zhangzhou, was completed in September 2010 and dedicated in October 2017. With a floor space of 10,594 square meters (2.6 acres), the church can hold 5,000 worshippers.
