A chapel inside a Bible-cultural theme park situated in Shenyang held a thanksgiving praise and worship meeting on May 20, 2017. Covering 600 square meters or 0.15 acre, the chapel, with its design reflecting the mingling of East-West style, is built on the highest terrain point among the other churches in the city.
It was constructed in accordance with the first church in northeast China --- Dongguan Church of Shenyang which was established by John Ross, a Scottish Protestant missionary in 1889. The church was destroyed during the Boxer Rebellion in 1900.
Inside the chapel
The park consists of five parts: a Bible-cultural theme canteen, an exhibition presenting Biblical culture, the chapel, the Mount of Olives Paradise, and spectacles in imitation of the Bible and original relics from the cradle of the Bible. There is a cemetery inside the park, where many Christians are buried. It reveals a placid attitude towards death because Sun Wenqing, the founder, is a Christian.
Started in 2009, the chapel construction was completed by Sun, an ex-Buddhist who is now in charge of the chapel, and the congregation, on October 22, 2010.
It is said that the meeting was to let believers be grateful and remember their deceased relatives. Hymns and violin solos were performed. Following a sermon, a local elder led a calling and a dozen seekers prayed the sinner's prayer.

穹苍玉宇，蔚蓝的天际下一轮火红的太阳悬挂空中。近日沈阳天气骤然转热，突如其来的高温却阻挡不住信徒们前往橄榄山乐园的脚步。
5月20日上午，位于沈阳东陵区王滨乡尖山子村的橄榄山基督教堂，举行了主题为“赞美天恩，感谢亲恩”的2017年首届橄榄山乐园感恩赞美会。
该教堂是中西合璧式的礼拜堂，占地面积六百平方米，高三十五米，是目前沈阳市地势最高的基督教礼拜堂。它是按照1889英国苏格兰长老来华传教士罗约翰牧师在沈阳主持建造的东北第一基督教堂——沈阳东关教会礼拜堂的原貌仿建。罗牧师所建的礼拜堂在建堂十一年后的1900年毁于义和团的烈火。
2009年沈阳市东陵区王滨乡橄榄山教会负责人孙文清同工和教会众弟兄姊妹在辽宁省及沈阳市基督教两会负责同工的支持下，用一年多的时间完成建堂工作，并于2010年10月22日献堂。
赞美会当天，橄榄山乐园附近教会的弟兄姊妹们乘着大巴，从四面八方涌向橄榄山乐园参加感恩赞美会，向上帝献上敬拜和赞美。据悉，本次赞美会旨在尊重信仰，让弟兄姊妹知恩感恩，文明追思；并希望逝者能在赞美歌声中得享安息，生者得着安慰。
赞美会以《天歌唱起来》开始：“天歌唱起来，天门已打开；天使同颂赞，天军也喝彩；天父心喜悦，家人都回来……”随后，统一着装的唱诗班弟兄姊妹们出场带来《向耶和华唱新歌》、《清清的河水》、《美丽的橄榄山》等多首赞美诗歌串烧。
接着，寇有国牧师分享了神的话语，他提到，什么是福音？福音就是关乎耶稣基督的生、耶稣基督的死、耶稣基督的复活、耶稣基督的升天和耶稣基督的再来。而这五个部分里面，核心是复活。“生和死是复活的预备，升天和再来是复活的结果，所以保罗说：‘若基督没有复活，我们所传的便是枉然，你们所信的也是枉然。（林前15:14）’”
寇牧师说，基督教有两大标志，第一是十字架，“走到任何一个基督徒聚会的地方都会有这样的标志，……十字架代表着死，神爱我们，将他的独生爱子赐给我们，担当我们的罪，在十字架上满足了我们律法的公义，成为我们的赎价。”第二是空坟墓。“自古以来，坟墓都是埋人的，但唯有耶稣基督给历史留下了一个空坟墓。空坟墓表明复活，耶稣基督从死里复活，让所有信他的人出死入生，不至灭亡，反得永生。”
寇牧师分享，耶稣的坟墓在锡安山上，锡安山的东面就是橄榄山，橄榄山朝向锡安山。很多当地人将自己葬在橄榄山脚下的墓园里，因为他们相信耶稣一定会再来，耶稣再来的时候要降在橄榄山上，而他们也将复活，跟随众圣徒一起从东门走进新耶路撒冷。当耶稣再来时，耶路撒冷的十二道城门向世界打开，中国的基督徒也会随着耶稣基督从东门进入新耶路撒冷。
证道结束后，沈阳教会的雷长老进行了现场呼召，十几位慕道友上台进行了决志祷告。
之后，精彩纷呈的音乐赞美会继续上演。不仅有小提琴独奏，更有赞美队的弟兄姐妹献上《一切歌颂赞美》、《这一生最美的祝福》等多首赞美诗，令在场会众大饱耳福之余，也一同参与到这火热的敬拜当中，以赞美的歌声来歌颂伟大的上帝。
