Mingde Church of Ürümqin provided a two-hour free clinic to 72 members on August 28 for the so-called monthly Sunday clinics held in the city.

Jianghe Journal reports that a medical group consisting of ten voluntary co-workers provides medical examination, professional counselling and physiotherapy massage for those joined the clinic..

Aside from the regular clinics, the group is on duty on Sundays to handle unexpected accidents.

Formerly known as the Chinese Christian Church of Xinjiang, the seven-storey church opened before Christmas of 1995. As the largest church in Xinjiang, it can hold at least 2000 people with a total construction area of 2400 square meters.
