Shenzhen Church hosted a series of events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its reopening.
During the worship service on May 25, Rev. Lan Zhonggang was invited to deliver a sermon themed "Emerging from Struggles, Living a Beautiful Life," based on Psalm 73:1-28. Lan stated that over the forty years of the church, there had been bad events or wrong decisions, but God would lead church members to overcome all challenges if they followed God’s path for their lives.
Following the sermon, the church held an unveiling ceremony for the historical and cultural corridor featuring sinicized Christianity. The congregation watched a video documenting the forty-year journey of Shenzhen Church. The initial church was founded with a floor area of 120 square meters; now, the new church can accommodate 2,000 worshippers at a time, covering an area of 8,265 square meters (2.042 acres). Boasting 12 choirs and 18 fellowships, the church regularly conducts varied retreats, music evangelistic meetings, marriage counseling courses, and mental health seminars. It has financially assisted over 30 theology students from impoverished areas in Yunnan and Guizhou, providing materials for disaster-stricken regions. In the past five years, the church has supplied assistance to other churches nationwide, totaling over 7.19 million yuan.
In the afternoon, a three-hour seminar on the indigenization of Christianity took place, covering five topics, including "Evaluating Y.T. Wu's Doctrine of God and Its Implications for the Sinicization of Christianity—Using Nobody Ever Sees God as an Example."
In the evening, Shenzhen Church choirs and the joint choir of Shenzhen CC&TSPM presented a sacred music concert.

接着教堂举行基督教中国化历史文化长廊揭幕仪式，会众一起观看了深圳堂走过四十周年历程的视频。教会创立之初只有120平方米，现在8265平方米的聚会场所，可一次容纳2000信徒聚会。拥有12个诗班18个团契， 定期举办各类型培灵会，音乐布道会，婚姻辅导，心灵关怀讲座。重点帮助云南贵州贫困地区的神学生30多位，为贫困灾区奉献物资，近5年对全国兄弟教会的支持和帮助累计超过719万。
下午举行3小时的基督教中国化学术研讨会，以五个主题展开，包括“评吴耀宗的上帝论及其对基督教中国化的启发——以《没有人看见过上帝》为例”。
