Dr. Gene Wood, founder and president of Word4Asia Consulting International, was invited to Nanjing to discuss hosting the 5th Amity Cup International Table Tennis Philanthropic Tournament.
During his visits from May 15 to 19, all parties involved discussed the scale, promotion, team formation, and competition format of the event which which is co-organized by Word4Asia and the Amity Foundation, reaching a consensus.
When meeting with Dr. Wood, Mr. Qian Wenhua, vice president of the Jiangsu People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, expressed his hope that this charity tournament would serve as an opportunity to extend Sino-American exchanges in sports, education, technology, and health, as well as to foster interactions among young people.
During the visit, Wood and his delegation also met with Amity Foundation, the Jiangsu Table Tennis Association, and Nanjing Table Tennis Association, and communicated with members of the organizing committee of tournament. They visited local companies, interacting with students of two table tennis clubs.
