President of Word4Asia Explores International Table Tennis Philanthropic Tournament in Nanjing

第五届“爱德杯”国际乒乓球公益赛共同主办方美国亚洲通国际咨询中心总裁金伍德博士应邀来南京，就举办该赛事活动进行会商。

据爱德基金会，5月15日至19日，各方就本次赛事活动规模、传播、组队、赛制等安排进行了磋商，并达成共识。

江苏省人民对外友好协会副会长钱文华先生会见金伍德博士时，说希望以该公益赛为契机，拓展中美民间体育、教育、科技、卫生等领域交流的机制性建设，并开展年轻人交往。

期间，金伍德一行还拜会了爱德基金会、江苏省乒乓球运动协会、南京市乒乓球运动协会等中方主办单位，与“爱德杯”组委会成员进行了交流，并先后参访了当地公司，与两个乒乓球俱乐部的学员进行互动。

Dr. Gene Wood, founder and president of Word4Asia Consulting International, was invited to Nanjing to discuss hosting the 5th Amity Cup International Table Tennis Philanthropic Tournament.

During his visits from May 15 to 19, all parties involved discussed the scale, promotion, team formation, and competition format of the event which which is co-organized by Word4Asia and the Amity Foundation, reaching a consensus.

When meeting with Dr. Wood, Mr. Qian Wenhua, vice president of the Jiangsu People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, expressed his hope that this charity tournament would serve as an opportunity to extend Sino-American exchanges in sports, education, technology, and health, as well as to foster interactions among young people.

During the visit, Wood and his delegation also met with Amity Foundation, the Jiangsu Table Tennis Association, and Nanjing Table Tennis Association, and communicated with members of the organizing committee of tournament. They visited local companies, interacting with students of two table tennis clubs.
