On March 7, a groundbreaking ceremony for the Shancheng Church was held in the village.
Since the introduction of Christianity, the number of believers has grown yearly in Shancheng Village, Shiliu Township, Zhangpu County, Fujian Province, a centuries-old mountainous village with a population of around 1,000 people. The Zhangzhou Municipal Ethnic & Religious Affairs Bureau approved the establishment of the Shancheng Meeting Point in the village in 2019. Following its founding, the church administrative board intended to create a church building spanning 150 square meters and a total area of 600 square meters.
Rev. Zhuang Jingcheng, president and chairman of Zhangzhou Municipal CC&TSPM, presided over the dedication ceremony, while Preacher Wu Shanguang of the church briefed on the history of Christianity in the village.
Rev. Zhuang delivered a sermon titled "Let Us Rise and Build," following Preacher Liu Yinguo's reading of Nehemiah 2:17–18.
The present pastoral leaders and church staff led the groundbreaking ceremony with the pastorate and guests to shovel the cornerstone of "Christ Is the Church, the Church Is Christ" into the soil.

3月7日，村里隆重举行了山城基督教堂奠基典礼。
福建省漳浦县石榴镇山城村共一千多人的山区老村，自基督教传入后，信主人家逐年增加，2019年，经当局审批在该村设立了山城基督教聚会点。聚会点成立后，经堂委策划该聚会点设计一座占地面积600平米，建筑面积150平米的山城教堂。
