Jiangsu Ordains 16 Elders

新年伊始，江苏省基督教两会举行圣职按立典礼。

据淮安市基督教两会，1月5日，来自淮安市教会的同工和信徒三百余人参加新城基督教活动场所举行的圣事。

江苏省基督教协会副会长兼总干事赵惠娟牧师以“同心合意的服侍”为题，勉励新按立的教牧同工要彼此相爱、谦卑服侍，同心合意兴旺福音，办好神的教会。

随后赵对即将按立圣职的同工进行了誓愿询问。接着，按立16位同工为长老。

按手礼之后，新受职同工被授予圣经。

Jiangsu Provincial CC&TSPM held an ordination ceremony at the start of the new year.

On January 5, more than 300 church staff and believers from the Huai’an Church attended the ceremony at the Xincheng Christian Activities Venue, reported Huai’an Municipal CC&TSPM.

During the ordination, Rev. Zhao Huijuan, vice president and director general of the Jiangsu Christian Council, preached on “Serve in Unity,” exhorting the newly ordained to love one another, serve humbly, and collectively revive the gospel for the effective management of God's churches.

Subsequently, Rev. Zhao explained their understanding of the office of pastors and ordained the 16 clergymen as elders.

Following the laying on of hands, the newly ordained were presented with Bibles.
