A retreat with sermons featuring interpretation, preaching, and application of the Bible in the Chinese context was conducted in a church in China’s southeastern coastal Fujian Province.
Over 100 participants, consisting of church staff, elders, deacons, and fire safety officers, attended the meeting at Nansheng Church, in Pinghe County, Zhangzhou City, on May 29–30.
Rev. Ye Gaosheng, deputy secretary-general of Fujian TSPM and director of Qingyang Church in Jinjiang City, preached a sermon titled "The Truth About the Church," testifying that the church is the body of Christ. He focused on four topics such as "Paying Attention to the Early Church", "Understanding the Church Today", "Building a Unified Church", and "Manifesting the Glorious Church."
Moreover, the youth choir, Mary Fellowship, and Jireh Fellowship of the church sang hymns, respectively.
On May 30, Fujian CC&TSPM hosted a knowledge contest in Fuzhou encompassing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China as well as the interpretation, preaching, and application of the Bible in the Chinese context. The team from Putian City secured the championship, whereas the teams from Xiamen City and Ningde City took second place. The groups from Longyan City, Quanzhou City, and Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone won third place.

5月30日，福建省基督教两会于福州举办“学习党的二十大精神 ‘解经、讲经、用经’中国化”知识竞赛活动。莆田市代表队斩获冠军，厦门市和宁德市代表队荣获二等奖，龙岩市、泉州市和平潭综合实验区代表队荣获三等奖。
