A church in China’s southwestern Sichuan Province held a dedication service for its new church building.

Gospel Church in Xindu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, celebrated its new church dedication on March 31, according to CCC&TSPM.

In the ceremony, Rev. Zhang Xiansheng preached a sermon based on Haggai 2:1–9 after the praising from the church union choir.

Pastor Shangguan Zongmao, director of the Gospel Church Council, recalled the development history of churches in the Xindu District and the construction process of the church’s new building.

Rev. Zhang Xiansheng, president of the Sichuan Christian Council, raised four requirements for the church’s further work, which are to preach the biblical truth, conduct church works in accordance with the laws and regulations, adhere to the three-self course of self-preaching, self-governing and self-supporting and the direction of the sinicization of Christianity in China, and strive for the award of the sample site for the sinicization of Christianity.
