A megachurch in east China’s Jiangsu Province supported a local charity for autistic patients.
Before the "World Autism Awareness Day," which falls on April 2nd every year, the Changzhou Chongshan Fund, affiliated with the faith-based Amity Foundation, made a donation to the Lezhu Community Shelter Center in Zhonglou District, according to its annual plan, said the Changzhou Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau.
On March 31, volunteers from the Chongshan Fund established by Changzhou CC&TSPM brought more than 10,000 yuan's worth of computers and office supplies to improve the working environment of the staff.
Wang Sumin, the person in charge of the center, told them about the development process of the institution and the stories of serving autistic patients, and popularized medical knowledge related to autism. Wang called on all sectors of society to have the correct knowledge of autism, handle misunderstandings, eliminate discrimination, and jointly accept and care for autistic patients and their families.
Li Jiangyue, chairman of Changzhou TSPM, said that the Christian community in the city should extend a helping hand to care for autistic patients around them.

3月31日上午,爱德基金会常州崇善项目志愿者们来到钟楼区乐助社区庇护中心,捐赠了价值1万余元的电脑、办公用品等物资,用以改善中心工作人员的办公条件。
中心负责人王苏敏向大家讲述了机构的发展历程和服务自闭症患者的故事,普及了自闭症相关的医学常识。王苏敏呼吁社会各界正确认识自闭症,打破误区、消除歧视,共同接纳并关心自闭症患者及其家庭。
