A church in China’s southeastern coastal Fujian Province held a groundbreaking ceremony.
Tailaoshan Church in Fuding, Ningde, on February 16 conducted the foundation stone laying ceremony, in which Song Rengong, president of the Fuding Christian Council, introduced the construction progress of the church, said Fuding CC&TSPM.
During the ceremony, Rev. Chen Anti from the Church of Heavenly Peace in Fuzhou preached a sermon titled "The Lord Is the Foundation," sharing that the Lord is the foundation and cornerstone and that Christians should be connected to Him. He urged the congregation to root themselves into Christ and build the foundation on Him, as well as choose the right design and plans to build up their lives.
Pastor Wei Zhongxin, chairman of the Ningde Municipal Christian Council, delivered a speech, saying that the construction project of the church was hard-won. So he hoped that the church would ensure quality and quantity and complete the construction on schedule.
Leaders and guests attending the ceremony laid the foundation stone.
To be a landmark in the town, the church covers a construction area of 4,391 square meters (1.085 acres) and a floor area of 4,025 square meters (0.99 acres). With an estimated budget of 12 million yuan, only above three million yuan has been raised, which needs prayers and support.

据福鼎市基督教两会，2月16日，福鼎市太姥山镇教堂举行奠基仪式，福鼎市基督教协会宋仁宫会长介绍了太姥山基督教堂筹建有关情况。
仪式上，福州市天安基督教堂主任牧师陈安俤牧师以《主是根基》为题，从主是根基、主是坐标、主是联络三个方面分享。劝勉同为主内家人务要扎根基督，将根基建立在基督之上，并找准建设规划设计，加强联络配合。
宁德市基督教两会主席韦忠信传道致辞：太姥山基督教堂的建设项目来之不易，希望教会按照既定施工设计方案，按时保质保量，推进新堂竣工落成。

据介绍，福鼎市太姥山基督教堂项目，占地面积4391平方米，建筑面积4025平方米，工程造价预算1200万元。目前已筹备资金300余万，盼望大家互相代祷、帮助。该堂竣工后将成为太姥山镇标志性基督教堂。
