Suffering from illness for many years, a female believer who had served in Fujian churches rested in the arms of the Lord.
Born into a Christian family in Zhangpu Couty, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, in 1952, Cai Meili died on January 27. She contributed to the church by serving the Lord and others.
Before retiring from the Pinghe County Post Office, she was elected as the deputy director of the Council of Xiaoxi Church in the county for two consecutive terms. Despite having graduated from junior high school, she was admitted to Nanjing Union Theological Seminary after diligently studying theology on her own. After finishing a correspondence course, she began to preach in the prayer meeting at Xiaoxi Church. She was willing to share the gospel with those around her and led her relatives, friends, and colleagues to the Lord.
After retiring in 2005, Cai settled in Xiamen and served in the church for more than ten years. She was the church's deacon, and she also took part in the Xiamen Ren'ai Love Service Center's activities to help the underprivileged. Some of the things they did were help elderly people who were alone or widowed with their daily lives, help poor students and people who had bad luck, and give material and daily life help to people who were sick or physically disabled.
Cai volunteered to live in the Xiamen Canaan Land Elderly Care Center, which was founded by a church. Spreading the gospel to the elderly in the center, Cai assisted the staff workers to carry out activities during festivals such as Christmas, New Year's Day, Spring Festival, Women's Day, and the Double Ninth Festival.
On January 24th, Rev. Chen Miaozhen of Zengcuoan Church, and Rev. Hao Zhiqiang, editor-in-chief of Tianfeng, the flagship magazine of CCC&TSPM, visited Cai in the center, holding a farewell party for her, who had witnessed for God through her experiences of giving sermons, testimonies, and praise.
