Churches in the Liaoning, Shanxi and Guangdong provinces hosted training courses and preaching activities on the localization of Christianity in early August.
The first training class on theological construction and indigenization of Christianity was held in Tai’an County, Anshan City, Liaoning Province, on August 11-12. Heads of gathering sites, pastors, and believers, entered the main building of Shengli Church, following the COVID-19 protocols such as showing health and itinerary codes, scanning venue codes, wearing masks, and having their temperature taken.
Besides the lecture titled “Purify the Altar and Preach the Truth” from Elder Shi Aijun, chairman of Anshan Municipal Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM), Rev. Yuan Ming, president of the Anshan Christian Council (CC), gave a speech with the title “God’s Protection” on theology. Rev. Song Liang from Northeast Theological Seminary provided a training course with the theme “Talk About Christians Being Blessing to Others According to the Life of Jacob”.
Taiyuan Municipal CC&TSPM in Shanxi also trained members of the municipal CC&TSPM, pastors, and key volunteers on theological construction and Sinicization of Christianity on August 5.
Yuncheng Municipal CC&TSPM in Shanxi carried out preaching competitions from August 4 to 5, involving the localization of Christianity, resisting heresy, and clearing up the source of moral character, attended by 45 reporters, preachers, members of the municipal CC&TSPM, heads of the county CC&TSPMs. The judging committee of the municipal CC&TSPM scored the preaching from over 30 speakers, who gave lectures from different angles and entry points according to the Bible and the reality of their respective churches, Shanxi Provincial CC&TSPM said.
The preaching team of Guangdong Provincial CC&TSPM on August 6-7 went to churches in Zhongshan City to preach on the Sinicization of Christianity, including a seminar.
During the seminar on the indigenization of Christianity, Rev. Pei Lianshan from Guangdong Union Theological Seminary gave a sermon titled “Explore Possible Way of Sinicizing Christianity”, sharing the church’s exploration in the aspects of the holy word, sacraments, church governance, and social services. Rev. Huang Tianhua introduced the significance of “Sinicization of Biblical Interpretation” and the latest Biblical interpretation results in his lecture with the title “Sinicization of Classical Interpretation: Translation, Interpretation, and Application of the Bible.” Combined with the relationship between Christianity and Chinese culture, Pastor Zheng Zhanchao, deputy secretary general of Zhongshan TSPM, put forward specific practical methods of evangelization in his talk titled “A Brief Discussion on the View of Sin in Traditional Chinese Culture”.
In Zhongshan City on August 7, members of the preaching team gave a sermon titled “How Can Evangelization Cause Trouble All Over the World?” in Yuanfeng Church, “Go And Do Likewise” in Longdu Church, “Ruth And Naomi” in Cannan Church, “Remember Mission to Serve Faithfully” in Taiping Church, “Robust Church” in Sanxiang Church, and “True Godliness” in Liangdu Church.

今天的胜利教堂主堂，前来参加培训的各堂点负责人、传道人和弟兄姊妹按照防疫要求，严格执行验码、戴口罩、测体温等流程进入会场。
鞍山市基督教三自爱国运动委员会主席史爱军长老做了《净化讲台、传讲真理》的培训。鞍山市基督教协会会长袁明牧师就神学思想做了《神的保守》的培训；东北神学院的宋亮牧师在12日上午和下午做了《由雅各的一生谈基督徒要成为别人的祝福》的培训。
8月5日，山西省太原市基督教两会举行神学思想建设暨基督教中国化宣讲，市基督教两会常委、教牧、传道员和义工骨干参加。
8月4日至5日，山西省运城市基督教两会组织开展正信正行、抵制异端、基督教中国化主题宣讲活动，市基督教两会班子成员、各县（市）负责人、通讯员及讲员共45人参加。30多位讲员根据圣经结合各自教会实际，从不同的角度和切入点进行了宣讲，市基督教两会评委会根据评分制度，对各位讲员的宣讲进行了评分。据山西省三自爱国运动会
2022年8月6日至7日，广东省基督教两会推进基督教中国化宣讲团在中山市举办基督教中国化宣讲活动，活动内容包括举行基督教中国化研讨会以及到各堂点进行基督教中国化专题宣讲。
研讨会上，广东协和神学院教师裴连山牧师以《基督教中国化可行路径之探索》为题，提出教会在圣道、圣礼、教会治理以及社会服务方面的探索。广东协和神学院教师黄添华牧师以《经典诠释的中国化——圣经的翻译、诠释和应用》为题，分享了“圣经诠释中国化”的重要意义，并介绍最新的圣经诠释成果。中山市基督教三自爱国会副秘书长郑展超教士在《浅谈中国传统文化的罪观》中结合了基督教与中华文化的关系，提出传福音的具体实践方法。
8月7日，广东省基督教两会基督教中国化宣讲团成员樊宏恩牧师、雷玉明牧师、裴连山牧师、黄添华牧师、樊巧儿牧师、郑展超教士等分别以《传福音怎会搅乱天下》、《你去照样行》、《路得和拿俄米》、《牢记使命，忠心服侍》、《健壮的教会》、《真实的敬虔》为题到中山市基督教会员峰堂、隆都堂、迦南堂、太平堂、三乡堂、良都堂进行主题宣讲。
