The foundation stone laying ceremony was conducted for the Christian Training Center in Datong City, Shanxi Province. "which provides a legal place for believers to upgrade their spiritual lives”.

On June 28, the ceremony was attended by leaders of the united front work departments and the ethnic and religious affairs bureaus in the city and district where the center is located, Shanxi TSPM reported.

Based in Pingcheng District, the center covers a floor area of 1903 square meters (0.47 acres) and a construction area of 2600 square meters (0.64 acres), with the construction land allocated by the municipal government. To implement the guiding principles of the National Conference on Religious Work, the center was built to improve the comprehensive quality of pastoral staff and volunteers in the city and provide a platform for Christian theology development and a base for patriotic education.
