A church in Guangxi Province resumes all onsite gatherings in accordance with the daily pandemic prevention and control measures.
The Church in Hepu released a statement, saying that not only had the Sunday services resumed from February 25, but that other onsite activities had also restarted, such as evening prayer meetings on Wednesdays, the choir practice on Friday nights, and the youth fellowship group on Saturday nights.
Due to the re-occurrence of this wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Guangxi, the church once again suspended face-to-face gatherings from the 6th of February, in accordance with the requirements of the relevant departments. But there has always been an online service every Sunday morning.
On Sunday, February 27, according to the requirements of the church, people should wear a mask, and scan the health code (or register their relevant information) while entering the church. After they sat at a distance of one meter according to the service arrangement of church staff, they began to pray and praise.
In the morning, there was a local “Vernacular” (Cantonese) Sunday worship service, in which Pastor Li Derong preached a sermon with the title of Cherish the Present, Live in the Moment. The Mandarin Sunday service began at 8 pm, with Pastor Guan Ronglei’s sermon on Trust in the Lord With All Your Heart.
During that period, the church presented a report to the congregation on its revenue and expenditure in February.
