To help single believers get to know each other, a Guangdong church conducted a sociable for singles for the first time.
In the event attended by more than 70 Christians, the worship team of Shamian Church in Guangzhou Province led them in praising God after an opening prayer, CCC&TSPM reported. In a speech themed “Relationships and Marriage”, Rev. Xie Xuguang encouraged unmarried believers to return to the Biblical truth, evaluate their own mate selection criteria, strive to be able to better manage family life after marriage, and nurture their children to become contributing people.
To eliminate inhibitions and foster better mutual understanding, the pastoral staff provided tea, snacks, and beverages for the single people to eat while socializing with each other. Divided into eight groups, they made dumpling wrappers and wrapped dumplings. After Rev. Xu Yijian offered thanksgiving prayers for the "dumpling dinner", they enjoyed the food that they had made by themselves. Finally, the activity concluded with prayers from Rev. Lei Yuming for unmarried Christians.

广东省基督教两会直属沙面堂教牧同工为促进主内弟兄姊妹彼此认识，建立未婚青年回归真理的学习平台，于2022年2月19日下午成功举办了第一期单身青年联谊活动。
本次活动有70多位弟兄姊妹报名参加，开场祷告后，敬拜队带领大家进行敬拜赞美。谢旭广牧师则以婚恋家庭为主题鼓励单身弟兄姊妹要回归圣经真理，评估自己的择偶标准，在步入婚姻殿堂之后要如何努力经营婚姻家庭，培养对社会国家有贡献的下一代。
本次活动有两个交流环节，教牧同工提前预了茶水、点心、饮料等的食物，供大家一边享用、一边进行交流，消除了弟兄姊妹间的拘谨，增进了彼此之间的了解。第二个是包饺子活动，弟兄姊妹共分为八组进行手擀饺子皮、包饺子。随后，许益剑牧师为“饺子晚宴”献上感恩祷告，大家开始享用自己的劳动成果。最后，雷玉明牧师为单身的弟兄姊妹献上的祷告。
