A Guangdong church hosted a celebration and a retreat to commemorate the 100th anniversary of its founding.
On October 24, Guangxiao Church in Guangzhou held three Sunday services in the morning, noon and evening, with titles of "Guangxiao Church Walks with Light for a Hundred Years", "Building a Church in Unity in the Holy Spirit", and "What Should I Do for You?"
Believers were encouraged to walk in the "Light" (or "Guang" in Chinese), to trust and obey, to cooperate to serve with one heart, and to undertake a mission of building a united and glorious church.
Joint with the choirs from Zion Church, Fangcun Church and the Church of Our Savior, choirs and worship teams of the church gave performances to express gratitude and praise to the Lord.
The celebration coincided with the construction of Panyu Church in Guangzhou, for which commemorative pots were presented to donators.
Guangxiao Christian Church, one of Guangzhou's largest churches, is located in the heart of downtown. The church is a combination of Western and Chinese architectures which employed Italian design in decor. Covering a total area of 1,470 square meters in a five-story design, the building is 26.7 meters high, 35 meters long and 23 meters wide.

早，午，晚堂礼拜由3位牧师分别以《百年光孝·与光同行》、《建立在圣灵里合一的教会》、《要我为你作什么?》为题，殷切勉励弟兄姊妹与“光”同行、信靠顺服，同心合意、配搭侍奉，承接使命，建立合一荣耀的教会。
光孝堂各诗班、敬拜队，联合锡安堂、救主堂、芳村堂三个兄弟堂会诗班，向上主献上建堂百年的感恩与赞美。
百年之时，恰逢广州教会兴建番禺堂，为感谢主内肢体对番禺堂的奉献，赠送百年光孝纪念壶。
24日晚，在众圣徒的歌颂赞美歌声中，光孝堂纪念建堂100周年主日庆典培灵会落下帷幕。
