As the pandemic situation stabilized in China, churches in many provinces decided to resume in-person gatherings in early September.
After one month’s closure, Enguang Church in Chengdu, Sichuan, announced the continuation of in-person gatherings from August 28, with four worship services held on last Saturday and Sunday.
Chengbei Church in Changsha, Hunan, released a notice on September 1, stating that gatherings on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday would be restarted, with Sunday services scheduled to be resumed on Sept 12, as the church’s roof repair construction is still in progress.
Jinsha New District Church in Qitaihe, Heilongjiang, announced on its official WeChat account that the congregation could worship God on Wednesdays and Sundays with the COVID-19 vaccine certificates, keeping a social distance.
Xiangcheng Church and Gongxiang Church in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province released announcements respectively on Aug 31 and Sept 1, to resume services on Saturday evening and Sunday starting from Sept 4th.
The continuation of face-to-face services from Sept 5 was announced by churches in two provinces, including Suzhou Mujia Garden Church and Wuzhong District Hengjing Church in Jiangsu Province, Zhuhai Xiangzhou Church, and Sanshui District churches in Guangdong Province.

8月31日,苏州市慕家花园基督教堂发布通知,该堂于9月5日起恢复线下主日崇拜及主日晚礼拜活动。其他线下聚会活动将根据防疫条件逐步开放,具体以每主日堂务报告为准。
9月1日江苏吴中区横泾基督教堂也发布了恢复9月5日主日礼拜通知。
8月30日,广东三水区基督教三自爱国委员会发布通知称:该区各堂点于9月5日恢复主日崇拜聚会。前往聚会信徒需提前在“粤省事”小程序提前预约,配合接待人员引导入座。
8月31日,广东珠海市基督教香洲堂发布复堂通知,将于9月5日开放实地聚会。提醒来聚会的信徒,礼拜结束后,按照工作人员引导,快速有序立场,为下场崇拜做好消毒通风工作。
