In Guangxi Province, the Beihai Church celebrated the third Sunday of Advent with dancing and singing.
After the celebration began at three o'clock, the sisters of the Lily Choir dressed in Chinese red cheongsam dress (Qipao), presenting the Chinese Christmas poem, A Thousand Christmas Candles, according to the church.
The Lily Choir, which sometimes performs in city squares and in various communities, has attracted many people to Jesus Christ by their loving actions, singing, and dancing. They sing the hymns in the third service every Sunday.
The choruses performed in the celebration were mainly Chinese Christmas hymns, such as Serenity in the Sacred Night and Love Full of China. Between the singing and dancing, there was also a sketch comedy and a Sanjuban (“three and a half sentences”, a type of Chinese free talk) that the Chinese love. Especially the cheongsam show, Looking forward to that day, along with the music brought the entire performance to a climax.
