On the afternoon of May 30, the Seven Colors of the Rainbow Home for Cancer Survivors held an event entitled, ”Live the Colorful Life: Gratitude for Stories of Life” in the Amity Charity Store in Dayuwan Commercial Plaza. Six cancer survivors and eight volunteers participated in this event.
At the beginning of the activity, volunteers led those who have suffered from cancer in finger exercises to relax their fatigued bodies. Then everyone talked about their lives during the pandemic when the needed to remain at home. They also shared touching stories of the Chinese people fighting against the pandemic. In the sharing session, those present were touched by the stories that volunteer Gu Meifang shared about the volunteers in the village she lived in during the pandemic. During the activities, they also tasted the delicious unsweetened pastries that were made by the Kunshan Aide Bakery.
I hope that the Home for Cancer Survivors will be able to do more to bring care and blessing to those whose lives are touched by cancer and bring more positive energy to society.
