The Jilin Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement printed posters and leaflets targeting the Korean Shincheonji cult on May 27, 2020.

The brochures are to be distributed to local churches in the province, according to the Jilin CC&TSPM.

A special department was established last year to resist heresies and cults, especially those from South Korea.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak in late January, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been seducing some believers. The cult has been ordered to close all its registered locations.

The posters will be placed in highly-visible locations in churches and the flyers given to believers. The booklet introduces the social harm the cult causes, how it recruits members, its false doctrines and how to believers can guard against being seduced by the cult.

吉林省基督教两会印发抵制“新天地”异端海报 2020年5月27日，吉林省基督教两会为全省场所预备的抵制韩国“新天地”异端的海报和宣传折页印制完毕，并发往省内各市州两会，由各市州两会分发给基层教会。抵制异端邪教的渗透，一直是吉林省两会的工作重点，为此，在吉林省基督教换届之后，特别设立了抵制异端渗透事工部，有针对性的组织全省场所开展抵制异端邪教的事工，防范境外势力的渗透，尤其是防范韩国异端组织的渗透与破坏。新冠疫情发生后，韩国“新天地”异端组织不顾疫情的严重性，继续组织活动并导致病毒扩散，给人们的生命安全造成极大的威胁。当他们的行为被禁止并受到公众舆论的谴责时，“新天地”异端分子企图进入正统教会进行破坏。吉林省内隐藏的“新天地”异端分子也蠢蠢欲动，妄想借助疫情防控不能聚会的机会，对一些信徒进行拉拢，破坏正常的宗教秩序。吉林省基督教两会针对韩国“新天地”异端组织的破坏企图，在疫情期间特别向省内场所发出抵制韩国“新天地”异端组织的通知，并根据韩国“新天地”异端组织的特点，编辑和印刷了抵制韩国“新天地”异端的宣传海报和折页，下发给省内所有场所。要求省内场所在显著位置张贴“抵制异端‘新天地’”海报，宣传折页则分发给信徒，通过简单易懂的文字，介绍了韩国“新天地”异端组织的社会危害、传播手段、错谬说教和防范方法，帮助信徒提高分辨能力，不受韩国“新天地”异端组织的拉拢与诱惑，自觉抵制韩国“新天地”异端组织对吉林省教会的渗透与破坏。第一批印刷完成的海报和宣传折页，除吉林市因疫情防控封城，不能快递邮寄之外，已经快递发往省内其它十一个市州，并要求及时分发给所属活动堂点。在疫情防控期间，虽然吉林省基督教场所都暂时停止聚会，但抵制异端邪教的工作一刻也没有停。吉林省两会组织各地场所通过各种方式牧养和引导信徒，加大抵制异端邪教的宣传力度，在特殊时期维护教会的稳定，为恢复聚会做好准备。
