Fujian Church Holds Online Communion Service on Good Friday

On April 10, Qingyang Christian Church, in Jinjiang City of Fujian Province held an online communion service on Good Friday. Several of the pastoral staff officiated the service at the church, and the congregation participated through video in their homes.

Good Friday is a day to remember the "death" of Jesus and the most important day of the Passion Week. Pastor Ye Gaosheng preached on the theme of the "Cross of Jesus", based on Luke 23: 26-47. Pastor Ye led the congregation in reflecting on the cross of Jesus in three aspects: the cross of bearing heavy burdens, the cross of bearing sins, and the cross of the achieving redemption.  Pastor Ye encouraged the brothers and sisters at home to think more deeply about the meaning of the crucifixion of the Lord.

Pastor Lin Meiyu presided over the sacrament, observing the normal order of service while believers observed the sacrament at home.
