On December 28, 2019, Henan Theological Seminary held the celebration ceremony to mark the 30th anniversary.

According to Christian Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement (CCC&TSPM), President Rev. Tang Weimin recalled the past three decades, anticipating anda new chapter of the school.

The seminary was originally founded inside a church couryard in Luoyang in 1989 and the first class of students was only 80. In 1993, it was relocated to a property in Zhengzhou which was donated by a sister. In July 2000, new buildings with a total area of 5,894 square meters (1.4 acres) were completed at a cost of about 5 million yuan.

The students sang the English hymn, "10,000 Reasons" to give thanks for the Lord's guidance and favor.
