On April 13, 2019, Ergong Place of Assembly in Xinjiang's capital Urumqi held a foundation stone laying ceremony for its church reconstruction project.

According to the WeChat account "Jianghe", the ceremony was presided over by Brother Tang Qin. He declared, "The Lord is good; his love to Israel endures forever. Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. So this is what the Soverign Lord says: 'See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation. "

The participants sang hymns to praise the Lord and gave thanks to God who prepared a new home for them.

Rev. Zhang Shuzhi gave a prayer and blessing at the end of the ceremony.
