On February 15, 2019, a Spring Festival retreat was held for more than 200 staff of the church in Quan'gang District, Quanzhou, Fujian province, according to the Quan'gang District China Christian Council (CCC) & Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM).

Rev. Shi Bishou, the supervising director of the Fujian CCC&TSPM, was the speaker who gave the message "the Beatitudes" in the Shanyao Church. The participants included pastoral workers, administrative staff, and volunteers.

The retreat concluded with Rev. Shi giving the benediction.
