102 Clergymen Ordained in Northeast China

Liaoning CCC&TSPM ordained 48 pastors and 54 elders in Northeast China Theological Seminary last Saturday. Women accounted for about 70% of the ordainees. The candidates for ordination came from eight prefecture-level cities, including 58 people from Dalian, a major city in south Liaoning.

Rev. Zhang Yuezhu, president of the provincial CCC, preached a sermon entitled "Learn to Be Good Shepherds." She claimed, "Pastors are very important to the church! The pastor determines what kind of a church is built. A confusing pastor contributes to a church in chaos; a secular pastor heralds a secular church; the church will be blessed through you if you become a good shepherd."

The ordination ceremony was presided over by Rev. Zhang with twelve pastors co-hosting.
