Songs of the Dawn, a collection created by Yi LianYing and her sister in Dawn Light church from ShanXi BaoJi, concludes more than 500 hymns, documenting the development of the Dawn Light church.

The Yi sisters wrote down this in the introduction of their book:" Many songs in this book are speaking about the experiences of Dawn Light church, in which there are comforts given by God's words when going through troubles, sole hope and dependence in the Lord, and deep graciousness and praises toward God when in grace."

Sister Yi LianYing and her elder sister Yi LianMei were called in 1992, and together they founded the Dawn Light church. Yi LianYing started as an amateur singer, able to read numbered musical notation, but never tried writing songs. Through time she began to write down her affection from serving in church, which gradually accumulated as the collection.
